It’s important that children are brought in to see the dentist when their first tooth erupts, or by the time they have turned one. We also recommend parents bring their children in with them on visits to the practice, as this will help acclimatise them to the dental practice, and instil a positive attitude towards their oral health.

What happens during a dental appointment for children?
During their regular check-ups, we will do a thorough check of their oral health including teeth and gums. Will be able to recommend any at-home care routines that will help keep their oral health in proper condition, as well as any changes to the diet that need to occur such as cutting down on sugar. We’ll also be able to diagnose whether any further treatments are necessary at this time.
