How long is the treatment?
Veneers are usually applied over two separate visits to the practice.

What happens during the treatment?
At your first appointment with us, our dental team will gently prepare your teeth for the veneers by removing some of the outer enamel of the tooth or teeth being treated. This is so that the veneers can be more easily applied.

A digital scan or impression will then be taken, and these will be sent off to a trusted dental laboratory where your veneers will be made. Once the veneers are ready to be placed, you’ll come back to the practice and we’ll bond the veneers onto the teeth using a special adhesive.

How many veneers will I need?
The number of veneers placed will be different according to each patient, and we’ll decide this with you at your initial consultation. Most patients receive 4 – 6 veneers to achieve a smile transformation, but in some situations, just one veneer is needed to change a smile.

How do I take care of my veneers?
Veneers don’t need any special attention as long as you are taking care of your oral health properly. So, you should brush your teeth twice a day for two minutes, floss regularly, and visit us here for dental examinations and hygiene appointments 1 – 2 times a year.
